Training Program in FEM for Working Engineers:
Recently, I conducted a special training program on the Finite Element Method (FEM) for the working engineers at CDO (Central Design Organization) and MERI (Maharashtra Engineering Research Institute) at Nasik during May 25 to June 1, 2009. The average experience of the trainees was about 25 years. About 5 of the 22 trainees had MTechs from IITs/NITs. Most of the trainees appreciated the course. A few references can be made available on request. Do drop me a line if you would like me to come over to your office and conduct training programs for your engineers. |

Undergraduate Course in FEM at COEP:
I taught a third-year undergraduate course on FEM to students of COEP in the Spring 2009 semeseter. This was an elective course. It was well received by the students. The presentation slides used for this course used to be available until recently, and will be made available once again. (This Web site currently is under revision.) |

Previous Experience in Teaching:
I had taught second- and third-year courses in materials science and metallurgy to undergraduate students of engineering at B.V. College of Engineering in two separate stints: during the academic year: 1984--85, and during the second sememster in 1989--90. Recently, I also taught for a couple of weeks at Sinhgad Institute of Technology during Aug-Sep, 2008. |
