Jadhav Research
Hello! Welcome to my personal Web site...

I am Ajit R. Jadhav, an engineer from Pune, India.

Both my education and work experience span across several branches of engineering and sciences. In the 26 years since my B.E. graduation, I have taken jumps across the usual divide between education and professional work several times over. Not only that, I have also switched fields while doing so! ... Some of it was out of choice; the other was more a matter of a compromise for survival... It's impossible to neatly explain it all to anyone in one go, but my detailed resume does include a chronological sequence which might come in handy to you.

Currently, I work as a Consultant in Computational Mechanics with a small software products firm in Pune.

I also conduct special training courses in the fundamentals of the finite element method (FEM), esp. for working engineers.

Recently, from 2003 to 2007, I was doing my Ph.D., formally in mechanical engineering, at COEP, University of Pune. I had submitted my thesis on 12th October 2007. I successfully defended it on 20th September 2009. (In other words, now, it's OK to call me Dr. Jadhav.)

My research broadly falls in the area of Computational Science and Engineering, more particularly, Computational Field Theory.

My Ph.D. research provides certain conceptual perspectives that are fresh in as many as 75, 102, 187, and 200 years. The most dramatic among these is the resolution of wave-particle paradox of quantum mechanics (which was accomplished in the context of light). All these results have been published in peer-reviewed papers at international conferences.

Currently, I try to further elucidate and extend these ideas whenever I find free time to do so. Once I find a suitable position in an academic research settings, I should be able to have not only the necessary time but also the environment and the mental frame with which to prepare the journal papers I have planned on these ideas.

I often blog at the following two places:

  • The Harvard-based iMechanica, where I mostly post on issues related to mechanics
  • My personal blog where I write on all sorts of issues: engineering, computing, scientific, philosophical, cultural, social, and even political!
  • Here is my detailed resume [PDF, 200 kB].

Well thought out comments are welcome:
